In a fresh development with the Shraddha Walkar murder case, the Delhi Police have found a new audio clip, in which the accused Aaftab Amin Poonawala and his live-in partner could be heard involved in a heated argument.

The contents of the audio clip are now being seen as 'evidence' to prove that Aaftab used to harass Shraddha. 

According to the investigative officials, the audio clip will be helpful in ascertaining the motive behind the gruesome murder.

The Delhi Police will also collect Aaftab's voice sample in connection with the case, to see if it matches the voice in the audio clip.

The police have also recovered a video of Aaftab and Shraddha.

In the video, the accused Aaftab is seen in a counselling session in Mumbai. 

To match with that of the video, the Delhi police will today conduct a face-recognition test on Aaftab. The police will also take 3D images of the accused. 

On Friday, the Delhi court extended the judicial custody of the accused Aaftab by 14 days. 

The next date of hearing is on January 6, 2023.

On Saturday, Poonawala's bail plea was dismissed by the Saket court after he withdrew the same.

Accused of killing his live-in partner and chopping her body into 35 pieces, Aaftab is presently in judicial custody. 

He is also alleged to have preserved the chopped body parts in a refrigerator before dumping them in forested areas in Delhi and Gurugram.
